THE PRICE CENTER’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS TO MATCH $5,000 IN DONATIONS ON GIVING TUESDAY
NEWTON, MA October 18, 2023 | Celebrating 45 years since opening their doors to the very first participants, The Price Center, a nonprofit agency that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to thrive in living, social and work communities, is ramping up efforts to make this Giving Tuesday, November 28, 2023, one for the record books.
The Price Center’s Board of Directors have pledged to match up to $5,000 in donations, hoping to encourage members of the community to donate so the Price Center may continue their mission. “Building on the message of outgoing Board Chair, Michelle Fineberg at The Price Center’s Fall Festival, strengthening our community means everyone should participate and contribute what they can,” stated the Board. “Our board is taking that message to heart and is leading by example and even offering a sweetener: they will match the first $5,000 of donations made between now and Giving Tuesday. Let’s all do our part to make Giving Tuesday a success this year.”
Giving Tuesday is a holiday that aims to promote philanthropy and generosity, and to bring people, businesses and charities together to transform their communities. It takes place the Tuesday following Thanksgiving, officially kicking off the “season of giving”.
