The Price Center Celebrates Selection as a Stop & Shop Community Bag Program Beneficiary
Shoppers Can Show Their Support at 160 Providence Highway Location in Dedham
NEWTON, MA March 30, 2023 | The Price Center, a non-profit agency that empowers adults with intellectual and developmental differences to thrive in living, social and work communities, is excited to announce their selection as a Stop & Shop Community Bag Program beneficiary for the Month of April 2023.
The Stop & Shop Community Bag Program, which launched in May 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
The Price Center was selected as the April 2023 beneficiary of the program by store leadership at the Stop & Shop located at 160 Providence Highway, Dedham MA. The Price Center will receive a $1 donation every time the $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at this location during April, unless otherwise directed by the customer through the Giving Tag attached to the bag.
“Our Employment Services Program has had the pleasure of working with Stop & Shop for years and we are now so excited to be a part of their Community Bag Program which will benefit The Price Center and all program, explains Jaclyn O’Brien, Vice President of Programs.
Joan Sheridan, a parent of a Price Center participant, was overjoyed to hear the news. “D’arcy has been employed by the Stop & Shop in Dedham for over 30 years. It has a very inclusive environment, and he is supported by The Price Center’s Employment Services Program, which has contributed greatly to his success.”
