FY26 Impact Report / Our Leadership
A letter from our CEO
Abby Parrilla, Chief Executive Officer, reflects on a year of belonging, growth and possibility.
Dear Families, Friends, and Members of The Price Center Community,

When I walk through The Price Center, I see our mission come to life — in a new skill learned, a friendship formed, or the pride of a first paycheck. We are here to ensure that individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including autism, have the support and opportunities to build lives that reflect their own hopes and dreams.
As we reflect on fiscal year 2025–2026, I feel tremendous gratitude for this community and a deep responsibility to keep moving us forward. For nearly five decades, The Price Center has been a place of belonging and possibility. It is an honor to lead this work alongside you.
Opening our Kindness Café this year captures that spirit beautifully. Individuals share their talents, build employment skills, and connect with neighbors. Placements with local businesses extend those opportunities into the wider community. Thank you to the partners who recognize each person’s potential and help it flourish.
The opening of our first Turning 22 group home at Selwyn Road and the expansion of Independent Living Supports reflect our commitment to helping individuals shape their futures. A home where someone feels secure, supported, and understood can make a profound difference. For families, these opportunities offer reassurance as their loved ones take new steps toward independence.
As CEO, I am committed to pairing compassion with accountability. Our Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) accreditation, strong Department of Developmental Services (DDS) licensing, and MassHealth credentialing results provide a foundation to build upon. We will continue strengthening clinical and behavioral supports, investing in our workforce, and listening closely to individuals and families. Your experiences help us understand where we are succeeding and where we must do better.
That same commitment guides our stewardship. Strengthening financial oversight, improving billing practices, and recovering outstanding reimbursements help protect the services people count on. Our decisions today must sustain The Price Center for the generations who will need us tomorrow.
To our families and caregivers, thank you for trusting us with what matters most to you. Your advocacy and partnership make us stronger. To our staff, thank you for the skill, patience, and heart you bring each day. To our Board of Directors, donors, volunteers, and community partners, thank you for standing with us and helping turn our mission into meaningful opportunities.
Most importantly, to the individuals we support: you are the heart of The Price Center. Your laughter fills our halls, your talents enrich our community, and your dreams inspire new opportunities and hope. Thank you for sharing your joy, goals, and your perspectives with us. Your voices guide our work, and it is a privilege to walk alongside you as you learn, grow, and pursue the lives you envision.
Looking ahead to fiscal year 2026–2027, I am confident in what we can accomplish together. We will continue to strengthen the quality of our services, expand meaningful opportunities, support our dedicated workforce, and maintain the financial stability our mission requires.
We will keep the individuals we support at the center of those decisions.
Thank you for being part of The Price Center family. Together, we will continue building a community where people feel welcomed, their voices are heard, and their dreams have room to grow.
With gratitude,
Abby Parrilla
