In memoriam

Daniel Frank

Passed away January 5, 2026

This year we lost one of our dearest friends. Dan Frank was a devoted champion of The Price Center for decades. In 1989, he and Gwen Fineberg began the fundraising events that grew into The Price Center Gala, and Dan persuaded his longtime friend, jazz legend Illinois Jacquet, to perform at the very first one.

Year after year he gave the event, in Michelle Fineberg’s words, “his heart and his soul,” and he thought of everyone at The Price Center as his own children. A Boston native, Dan spent many years as president of the Fineberg Companies and loved art and jazz.

We hold his wife of 56 years, Norma, and the entire Frank family in our hearts, and we are grateful that Dan’s generosity lives on in our community.

Friends, families, staff and supporters filled Symphony Hall for an unforgettable evening of music in celebration of The Price Center community. Emcee Lauren Falcone, a Price Center parent and local radio personality, led the program as self-advocates took the stage to share their own stories, and guests responded with a spirited auction and paddle raise in support of our programs.
